Stoma Hero’s Boat Trip October 2019
On the 11th October 2019 we braved the elements to enjoy a boat trip along the Bridgwater canal. And boy were the elements against us, we did wonder if the event would be cancelled as the weather leading up the evening had been horrendous and even on the day the rain poured down. Despite the weather conditions we had a brilliant time.
We set sail at 5.30 and watched as the guys outside opened the first lock to let us through on our journey. A few of us braved the weather to have a go at steering the barge along the canal. Its not as easy as the guys make it look
We had a few glasses of wine along the route until our fish and chip supper was delivered, the poor man on the motorbike, who went off to pick up our meal looked decidedly damp. But it was so worth waiting for as you can see . .
It was such a good evening, we all had plenty to eat and drink and a lovely chat. Can’t wait to do it again, but this time in the summer!!
