We all really enjoyed covering the Stoma Heroes stand at the Crispin Centre, Street on Saturday 29th February 2020. Shane had originally planned to be there but work commitments meant he was unable to attend.
We were all pleasantly impressed by the curiosity of people asking questions relating to illnesses that can result in life-changing procedures such as a stoma. The conversations were flowing and we felt our information was very well received.
Many thanks to the Crispin Centre for providing us with a place at their Charity Day in order that we could spread the Stoma Heroes story. We sincerely intend in the future to gain more friends and members, and also continue to provide a helpful service to our fellow ostomates in their time of need.
Our evolving story is gaining momentum and it’s pleasing to know that we have already helped many people, and made many good friends during our journey. Confidence is high for our new Ostomy friends, who were previously feeling isolated after their stoma procedures.
