Our Mission Statement

Our Mission Statement

Our Mission

At Stoma Heroes, our mission is to offer both lifestyle and emotional support to individuals living with a stoma, as well as to those who are closely connected to them. We are dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment through various online platforms, including Twitter, WhatsApp, and Facebook. These channels enable us to reach a broad audience, facilitate open dialogue, and nurture a sense of community among ostomates and their loved ones. Alongside our digital presence, we organise regular local meetings in the Somerset area. These gatherings provide valuable opportunities for face-to-face interaction, mutual encouragement, and the strengthening of supportive relationships within our community.

Our Vision

As a collective of ostomates, we are united in our aspiration to improve the quality of life for those living with a stoma. Our vision is to confront and diminish the stigma that can surround ostomy. We are committed to raising public awareness and advancing education about stomas, aiming to foster greater understanding, acceptance, and inclusion. Through these efforts, we hope to build a society that recognises and values the experiences of all ostomates.

Our Values

We firmly believe in the power of teamwork and collaboration. Much like perfectly aligned cogs working together, we know that when people unite with a shared purpose, positive energy is generated and meaningful progress is achievable. Our organisation is here to provide support whenever you need it most. Driven by passion and enthusiasm, we strive to help build your confidence and to support you in making the choices that are right for you.
